A Small School with a Big Heart.
At Castlewood Community Preschool, we hold a deep respect for each child's individuality and innate curiosity. We understand that children learn best when they are free to discover and create at their own pace, surrounded by caring adults who support and guide their journey. Our approach is rooted in the belief that play is the foundation of learning, and every activity is designed to spark joy, foster creativity, and build essential skills.
What makes Castlewood Community Preschool Different
We are a Parent Cooperative
You are your child’s most valuable resource, and we want you to be a part of their preschool journey. Active parent involvement creates a more supportive and effective learning environment, benefiting students, teachers, and the school community as a whole.
Our Play-Based, Creative Curriculum.
We use a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features inquiry, exploration, and discovery as the foundation of all learning. It brings meaningful interactions and learning to life in our classrooms.
We connect with the outside world.
Our outside learning environments connect children to their outside world. We have outdoor classrooms, a playground, and 5 acres for the children to explore! Outdoor environments often involve group activities, which help children learn to cooperate, negotiate, and resolve conflicts. It’s a great setting for developing social skills and building friendships.
