What does “play-based” mean?
Let’s talk purposeful play! We spend a LOT of time each day with play - engaging with each other and with our amazing classrooms and outside spaces. The children make choices, collaborate with others, create, and are learning to problem-solve, communicate, and share. Plus, play is just so much stinking fun! A typical day could be writing in journals, painting with symmetry, practicing letter writing, making patterns, and comparing weights… but if you ask your child what they did during the day, don’t be surprised if they just say “play”.
